Parents have “brilliant” ideas all of the time.
“We want to have our children close together, so they can play with each other.”
“We’ll only let our child sleep with us this one time.”
“They’ll be fine playing by themselves upstairs.”
“I don’t need the diaper bag for this quick trip to (insert random destination here).”
“Just because they only napped for twenty minutes, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t drag them out to eat dinner.”
Yeah.. brilliant ideas.
Sunday one of those oh-so-awesome-ideas actually came to fruition for a slice of time.
The Tackler and the Lil Diva shared one of those perfect moments parents dream of when sibling planning. The Tackler channeled me (and my husband) and performed our roles in the Pretend to Eat the Lil Diva Game. So damn cute, I think it has viral video potential (or would if you could see their faces more).
Just ignore the exploded house in the background.
Video taken “from behind” to prevent Lil Diva from “discovering” Daddy’s cell phone and ceasing sweet moment immediately. You can tell the moment she spies the phone…
Have you had a “brilliant” parenting moment lately?
LOL So cute! My daughter (3) was watching with me and said, “I wish we could go play with those kids!” I was so scared through the whole thing that he was gonna bite her, or jump on her. Good job playing nicely! lol 🙂
If you knew The Tackler, you would know how accurate the fear of him “jumping on her” would have been – at least in the past. He is called “The Tackler” for a reason…
It made this moment all the more sweet.
OMG I have tears in my eyes from laughing, that is so cute! I love the way he is “casually” turning his head side to side and up before he goes in for the tickle!
The head turn is key. It builds the giggling anticipation, something he learned from when I (or Daddy) do it to him..
Glad you enjoyed it.
well that just made my whole day. THE CUTENESS is killing me.
Loving those kiddos of yours.
So cute, I love how he looks around pretending not to see her before he attacks. Little laughter is always so cute.
I live for those laughter moments. Having it between both kids – just priceless.
Ha! I totally do this to my kid. The innocent looks around are my favorite.
The looks are very important. I love learning what he pays attention to. Perhaps one day Mazzy will share your game with a sibling… or cousin.
You can hear forever in those giggles, can’t you? Love this. Like Jessica said (above), I love how T looks around. He may have a future in performing. I’m guessing this trait has been inherited (or learned) from his mom. (Insert ellipsis here).
Me? Like performing?
Okay, you might have a point.
That footage is golden 🙂 Very much with the cuteness.
I know. How can you not smile at that?
It might go viral just from MY watching it….
I love everything about this happening, and how it was done. Such a precious (and freaking adorable) memory! And oh, how I relate to that need for “stealth recording”…heehee…
