When Leaves Attack

Life continues to pass at Ludicrous Speed in the House of Chaos.

Most of my weekend has been spent trying (so far in vain) to plan a family vacation to Colorado.  CG has vacation time he has to use, there are flight deals to Denver, and I miss skiing – CG and I last went in 2006.

Whatever time I haven’t been plotting a course to the mountains (and Iowa for the holidays) has been spent (once again, in vain) attempting to prepare the house for my father-in-law’s Thanksgiving visit.

Somehow this – paired with unseasonably warm weather – led to CG doing yard work so that I can put up the Christmas lights.

Which then led to this:

Carnivorous leaves devoured The Tackler.

Lil Diva had her mind on other things, like learning to drive.

Out for a Saturday drive.

Needless to say, I think the remains of the leaf pile are still in the yard.

At least the bushes are cut back – they don’t lose their leaves here – so the lights can be put up.

So one thing was accomplished this weekend.

Anyone else’s filled with excitement?
