Beware of the Pineapple: Tacklerism Tuesday

A good zoom out view of how high The Monkey Tackler climbs. On his own.

My husband and I have explained to The Tackler why one cannot live solely upon Halloween candy, Christmas candy, Easter candy, and other delicious baked sugary goodness.

He harnessed this knowledge in typical Tacker fashion.

CG offered him some fresh cut pineapple.

“No. Pineapple makes your head shake.”

“What?” CG and I exchanged a look.

“Pineapple has lots of sugar in it and it makes your head shake.”

I giggled as the words rolled off my 4 year old’s tongue, gaining steam, until hysterical laughter gripped my sides.

I stumbled away to write it down.

Four year old logic is priceless.

As is The Tackler’s latest masterpiece.

Featuring all of his favorite items: chain chomps, Green Lantern, and.... vegetables?

One might be mislead to believe my son loves vegetables, based on this drawing.

You would be sorely mistaken.

The day he drew this (Sunday), he worked on a math workbook with Daddy. It involved many pages of vegetable counting and drawing.

It does introduce his love for Green Lantern (thanks Fisher Price with your clever marketing via educational video games) – his favorite DC Superfriend.

It also revisits his love of Chain Chomps, even though Mario has not been played in around him in months.

I love this age.

What amusing/interesting things has your child said/done/created lately?

  1. I am going to have to be careful around my pineapples from now on! Don’t you just love the things kids think about and spit back out as wisdom?

  2. Love that picture of him high up. And I love kid art. I think wars could be settled if enough military commanders took the time to really look at kid art.

    • Kid art is great, especially once you can start making out what they’re drawing. My daughter’s scribbles aren’t quite as amusing yet.

Interesting war hypothesis. I’m certain your daughter could write some lovely guilt trip ridden prose to go along with the drawings.

  3. That portrait of Green Lantern is spot-on. Did he draw abs?

  4. Annie says:

Holy cow! That kid is a climber. And I thought taz was fearless…

  5. Ilana says:

A mother sees superheros and vegetables. Another person sees skeletons pooping.
