On the Eleventh Day Of Christmas, Dear Santa Gave to Me……

Welcome to Day 11 of The Twelve Days of Christmas (to be “read” like the song)  – Dances with Chaos style……………

I know, so incredibly original the concept blows your mind – Matrix style. This will be usurping the usual Tacklerism Tuesday and “What the frak?” Friday segments until completed.

* * *

On the eleventh day of Christmas, dear Santa gave to me:

Eleven inches of snow fall,

Ten minutes of pelting,

Nine sweet sticky rolls,

Eight sloppy snow angels,

Seven sneaky snatchings,

Six doting relatives,

Five free dinners,

Four hours of sleep,

Three spares in a row,

Two darling hellions angels,

And a brand new pack of 2 ply tee-pee.

To say I'm a bit giddy to have this beautiful Christmas Eve snow - that do NOT have to shovel - would be an understatement.

Ok.. maybe it’s not 11 inches.. Maybe it’s more like five or six. So far.

But it’s beautiful.

And very wet.

The Tackler hangs in his new abode.

Perfect for snow fort building – a continuation of the previous masterpiece.

The Snow Fort Masterpiece - still under construction.

We even tried sledding – it mostly involved me pulling The Tackler down the hill – to his absolute delight.

And hit a playground.

Lil Diva admires the snow falling - and Reba puppy dashing through the snow.

So you can see why this day of Christmas – one of the most Hollywood-like picturesque perfect days before Christmas I have ever seen in the 30 years I have celebrated this holiday in the state of Iowa – I am not sitting at my computer blogging or tweeting.

It’s just too darn fun outside.

Awww – love the diva pic! Enjoy the holiday and wishing you sleep for 2011…

So fun! We didn’t have snow falling at our house, but are fortunate enough to have mountains near by. A quick 60-min drive, and we were surrounded by snow and having a ball.
Glad you all are enjoying the season!

PS: love the snow falling on the site — nice touch!

I would love to live that close to the mountains! Instead we’re paying exorbitant rates to fly to them to ski at some point.

I hope you had much snow fun as well.

While my Tackler had a great time, I think he’s ready to head back to a clime that doesn’t require snow pants… And Lil Diva just wants outside mobility back.

      It was beautiful though. 🙂

      Thanks for reading and commenting!
