Friday’s “What the frack?” moment: The Perfect Trio of Triggers to Trip the Telepathic Powers of Progeny

Friday’s “What the frack…?” moment (WTFM) is brought to you by………..

The Telepathic Power of Progeny: Because somehow they know when you are not sleeping and have an important meeting the next day.

I have no idea how they do it. Is it inborn? Is it a learned behavior? Is it something like a vision that only strikes when The Parental Units have done something stupid?  Like stay up until 2 AM setting up their new Droids

However these incredible powers came to be, one thing is for certain: If two parents have the tiniest little lapse of judgment, because they did happen to get their first smartphones just prior to the store closing and have to play and setup up their phones so they can be reachable and make certain their ring tones can be heard when someone sees fit to call them, and thus stay up until 2 AM working toward such a goal (and adding a few other vital apps for Must Entertain Children Emergencies), at least one of your children will not only wake up earlier than normal, but they will wake up and stay up WAY earlier than normal.

This is even more likely to occur, if the previous day you were “allowed” to sleep in until 8 AM.

Add in CG’s massively important meeting this afternoon with the CEO of his company (whose power point presentation he has been working on for many weeks), and suddenly you have The Perfect Trio of Triggers to Trip the Telepathic Powers of Progeny.

How do they do?

Why do they do it?

Personally, I think it’s just to frack with you.

Happy Friday all.  Here’s hoping you had more than four hours of sleep. 🙂

  1. Isn’t it amazing? My kids have the exact same horrible ability. On any other day you can almost set your clock by when they wake up BUT when it’s been a late night (for I’m sure important reasons) or if there’s something big happening – BAM – at least an hour early. Congrats on the Droids though …

    Sleepily Yours,

So mine aren’t the only ones with this amazingly annoying super ability?

HOW do they do it??? Lil Diva was more like two hours early on this day…

I like and hate my new Droid. I’ve made more accidental calls while trying to click on someone else in my contact list and the voice search for contacts isn’t working with my phone, only for internet searches. DH has no issues with his phone (he has X, I have Incredible).

Looks like you had a very very short night after this comment.. My sympathies.

      Thank you for reading, Amy!
